Location: Rochester, NY
Innovative Solutions currently has a position available for a Programmer/Analyst for .NET/SQL. This is a mid-level position
with 2 plus years experience required, have strong analytical and problem solving skills, be detailed oriented and have
strong written and oral communication skills.

Job Responsibilities
- Applying Information Processing Technology
- Analyzing, defining, and documenting requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware, and operating system environment. Interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs.
- Analyzing and estimating feasibility, costs, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs.
- Researching and evaluating software and hardware to assist in programming or to use as program platforms.
- Writing documentation or reviewing documentation written by others that describes installation and operating procedures.
- Training end users or technical support staff to use programs.
- Computer Software Programming
- Programming a client/server application in .NET languages. And SQL Server.
- Writing and maintaining technical specifications and documentation to describe program, development, logic, coding, testing, changes, and corrections.
- Designing and coding screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed outputs, and interfaces with other systems
- Converting designs and specifications into computer code.
- Compiling code into programs and corrects errors detected in compile process.
- Creating test transaction and runs tests to find errors and confirm programs meet specifications.
- Analyzing code to find causes of errors and revises programs.
- Identifying and Meeting Client Needs
- Consulting with clients to gather information about program needs and objectives, function, features and input and output requirements.
- Consulting with clients to prototype, refine, test and debug programs to meet needs.
- Customer Focus
- Providing technical assistance by responding to inquiries from others regarding errors, problems or questions about programs.
- Installing and testing programs at client site and monitoring performance of programs after implementation.
Required Technical Experience
- BS in MIS/Computer Information Technology/Computer Science.
- 2 plus years experience programming in .NET languages, SQL, structure program design and relational database theory required.
