Data Warehouse & Reporting
Getting Things Organized
We have a great deal of data, but not enough information! Sound familiar? While organizations spend a great deal in
infrastructure and enterprise applications to operate and maintain their business, they often struggle to manage their
business because managers and analysts are not given the information they need to do their job. Information is incomplete,
inconsistent, or not adequately presented. Many times data requires complex, manual intervention and manipulation in order
to be useful.
Establishing a database or data “warehouse” can solve these problems. The process of designing and building a data warehouse
requires a thorough understanding of the information needed, the data sources, the tools used to access the data, and the
processes required to convert, summarize and store the data.
